Another week and I have done two more portraits.
This is Lorraine my neighbor. I started out by measuring the height and width of her face. I then measured the distance from the top of the head to the eyes nose and mouth. Little by little I caught her image. Once the measurements are right then it is just about using pencil and pastels and taking my time to make it look natural.
I also started this portrait of the two sisters Maddie and Lily today. Hopefully next week I will be able to show a finished picture.
Remember I am not trying to make a great piece of art. I am doing a portrait. Taking artistic license is something I will do later, after I get good at portraits in general.
